Asian College of Knowledge Management (ACKM) is honored to announce the appointment of two world-renowned Nobel Laureates— Professor Ei-ichi Negishi and Professor Ada E. Yonath as the Honorary Chancellors of the college.
Both Nobel Laureates have outstanding contributions to the advancement of human beings, respectively in Organic Chemistry and Ribosome Research; and they have profoundly influenced the research fields with their theories and inspired the development of cancer therapy. The Nobel Laureates’ recipient of ACKM honorary awards demonstrates that Hong Kong has high academia and research capability with full potential to launch new creations and to inspire industrial development.
ACKM also took this opportunity further with the aim of building a better communication bridge in between the local universities and the world-class research masters by initiating a lunch-on event at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST); four universities’ representatives attended the meeting, including Professor Karl Harrup, the Head of Life Sciences at HKUST, Professor Istvan T. Horvath, Chair Professor of Biology and Chemistry department in City University of Hong Kong, Professor Ricky Wong, Chair Professor of Faculty of Science in Hong Kong Baptist University and Professor Michael Kenneth Chan, Director of Professor, School of Life Sciences in Chinese University of Hong Kong.
ACKM believes, through the inspirational influence of Professor Ei-ichi Negishi and Professor Ada E. Yonath, the College shall continue to leap forward and create a better educational scene in Hong Kong in the coming future.
